Therapy for Children, Adolescents & Families

I have seen children, adolescents and families benefit enormously from therapy. Through support and guidance in therapy, children can decrease negative feelings and behaviors, improve self-esteem and connections with peers and family, increase curiosity and interest, and reach a fuller potential. Therapy can also provide that all so important support to parents so that, rather than feel overwhelmed and exhausted by their children’s challenges, parents feel empowered to help their children.

What to expect in therapy with Children, Families & Adolescents:

It is very important that you feel comfortable with and confident in your therapist.  The first meeting can be an opportunity to determine whether it is a good fit.  If you decide at the end of our meeting not to continue, you will not be charged for this first appointment.

Typically, the first few sessions are a time to get to know you and your child.  It often is helpful to meet with the parents and child individually.  After the assessment, we can jointly determine the goals for therapy and the best configuration for therapy moving forward.  It costs $175 for each 50-minute session.  Longer family sessions cost $250.  I currently do not accept insurance, but I can provide you a receipt to submit to your insurance.  Please call or email to make a step towards getting the support that your child and family deserve!
